If you are a performing artist, whether your expression is a voice in its many styles, dance, or instrument, you should be well aware of the value Open Mics has to the local artist.

Hot Sauce Poetry & Variety Open Mic is hosted by Articulite Poetry-Founder of Hot Sauce Poetry and the Hot Sauce Poetry Team: Corie Paige, Dawug Craig, Everne L. Chatman.

HOT SAUCE POETRY is an Inspirational poetry set and variety open mic. We open it up to emcees, singers, comedian, dancers and etc… Their mission is to share Christ, to Inspire, Deliver, Entertain and Bless people through the creative arts and spoken word poetry.

It is hosted every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. This open mic is an inspirational style set. Profanity is strongly prohibited. So bring your lyrical game! You will be accompanied by like-minded individuals infused with creativity and lyrical genius.

HOT SAUCE POETRY Includes season fried chicken with bbq & hot sauce, with spiritual substance to feed ur soul, along with a little comedy & positive music as dessert while enjoying great atmosphere & great people.

This open mic features some of the hottest poets, emcees, singers, and comedians on each set. They also offer free food, games, prizes, and the open mic to share your talent too.

I think this is very good what you’re doing and its in the community. most the times im broke due to helping my spoiled brat daughter lol. and yes she’s a young adult not grown cause she still at home with me. but at any rate I love your venue and Im going to try and come and maybe even do an article on it Im also a writer for the north lawndale community news. so keep up the good work

  3. Man, I’m nowhere near Chicago right now, but this sounds like an open mic to really get into. I have always enjoyed open mics just because you never know what you might get. There is such a mix and sometimes you’ll come across talent that is truly stunning! I know a few people who have been discovered at events like this.
